Sell aluminium scrap — pots, frames and sheets
Old cooking pots, broken window frames, roofing sheets and other aluminium scrap are bought by weight across Nigeria. Reearnify is preparing to buy aluminium scrap from market sellers and households, starting in Ibadan — weighed on our scale in front of you and paid per kilo the same visit.
We are not buying aluminium scrap yet. Join the waitlist and we will call you the moment we start.
That is per kilo. The final amount depends on the weight on our scale. Current prices and updates are always on the Reearnify app and our WhatsApp channel.
How to prepare your aluminium scrap
- Separate aluminium from iron — a magnet sticks to iron but not to aluminium.
- Knock out remains of glass, rubber or wood from frames where you can.
- Gather pieces in one place so the driver can weigh everything in one go.
What we never take
- Medical or clinical waste of any kind.
- Food waste, or anything soaked in food, oil, chemicals or sewage.
- Anything the seller cannot say where it came from.
- Wet, mouldy or oily cartons. Keep your board dry and off the ground.
- Anything still holding chemicals, fuel or paint, even an empty-looking drum.
- Anything sharp, broken or unsafe for the driver to lift by hand.
Common questions
How do I know if my scrap is aluminium?
Use a magnet: it will NOT stick to aluminium. Aluminium is also light for its size and does not rust brown. Pots, window frames and sheets are the most common aluminium scrap.
