Paper recycling in Nigeria
Paper is one of the most recycled materials in the world. In Nigeria, carton is already widely collected, while office paper and newspapers are catching up.
Types of paper that can be recycled
Most dry, clean paper has value to recyclers:
- Carton and cardboard (brown packaging board)
- White office paper, printouts and exercise books
- Newspapers and magazines
What cannot be recycled
Wet, oily or food-stained paper, tissue paper and paper mixed with plastic coating are hard or impossible to recycle. Keep your paper dry and clean.
